Abundances

Some papers have been devoted to the study of  chemical abundances in CP stars. Below you can find some examples of such activities.

In the paper:

High resolution spectroscopy of HD207538 from Far-UV (FUSE) to visible (SARG-TNG).

A global picture of the stellar and interstellar features modeled.

G. Catanzaro, M. K. André, F. Leone, P. Sonnentrucker
      2003, Astronomy and Astrophysics, 404, 677

we pointed our attention on the modeling of the stellar spectrum in a wide spectral range, namely from Far-UV to visible, giving a global description of the stellar and interstellar features observed. Following figures were extracted from that paper.

In the paper:

HD 191110 a SB2 system with Hg and HgMn components.

Orbital elements and abundance analysis.

G. Catanzaro, F. Leone, P. Leto
      2003, Astronomy and Astrophysics, 407, 669

we studied the SB2 system HD 191110, performing a quantitative abundance analysis of both components. We developped a method to compute simultaneously the effective temperatures and surface gravities of both components and the light ratio between them.
